Maple Ridge Memory Care (in collaboration with WoodBine Senior Living)

Essex, Vermont

Maple Ridge Memory Care provides state of the art care in a homelike environment.  Black River Design worked closely with the owner/operator teams to create this safe and compassionate environment for residents. Spaces were designed to be comforting, familiar, and stimulating and include cozy fireplaces, murals of familiar local scenes, and views to the serene surroundings.  The building houses 56 beds in 2 resident wings, each with their own dining room, living room, sun room and family kitchen. Each wing also has a fully enclosed outdoor courtyard space and a fenced-in outdoor patio area with a pergola, landscaped plantings and seating. Administrative areas and a lobby for families and guests are centrally located.  The project is part of an “age in place” community, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
